Natural Extracts

What are Natural Extractives?

Natural extracts, as the name implies, refer to active ingredients extracted from animals and plants (including microorganisms) using appropriate solvents or methods. These ingredients can be single compounds or mixtures of multiple compounds. These extracts are rich in chemical substances, such as alkaloids, flavonoids, saponins, polysaccharides, volatile oils, collagen, proteins, peptides, enzymes, antibodies, antibiotics, amino acids, nucleic acids, enzymes, monosaccharides, oligosaccharides, polysaccharides, glycoproteins, resins, colloids, lignin, vitamins, fats, oils, waxes, alkaloids, volatile oils, flavonoids, glycosides, phenylpropanoids, organic acids, phenols, quinones, steroids and antibiotics. These extracts are widely used in medicine, food, health products, cosmetics and other fields. Because they come from nature, they are often considered to have high safety and biological activity.

The production process of natural extracts usually involves multiple steps, including the collection of raw materials, pretreatment (such as cleaning, drying, crushing, etc.), extraction (using solvents, supercritical fluids, microwaves, etc.), separation and purification (such as filtration, distillation, crystallization, chromatography, etc.) and final drying and packaging. Throughout the process, Day Natural strictly controls various parameters to ensure the quality and safety of the extracts.

Day Natural’s natural extracts are favored mainly because they have a variety of biological activities, such as antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, antiviral, anti-tumor, etc. These active ingredients are important for the prevention and treatment of various diseases. In addition, compared with synthetic compounds, natural extracts often have advantages in biocompatibility and safety, which is also an important reason why they are widely used in the field of medicine and health products.
